Black Radical Imagination is part of our presentation of new and recent works from Dominica, the artist-run imprint of Martine Syms. Based in Los Angeles, Dominica Publishing is dedicated to exploring blackness as a topic, reference, marker and audience in visual culture.
Erin Christovale is the Assistant Curator at the Hammer Museum in Los Angeles. She has also curated exhibitions for the Museum of Contemporary African Diasporan Arts, the ONE National Gay and Lesbian Archives, and Transmission Glasgow. Amir George is a curator and filmmaker whose work has screened at festivals and institutions worldwide. In addition to co-curating Black Radical Imagination with Erin Christovale, he has founded The Cinema Culture, a grassroots film programming organization based in Chicago.
