SHIPPING
Critical Distance provides options for regular shipping across Canada, the US, and internationally, with rates and estimated delivery time depending on delivery location and shipping method (standard shipping is with tracking and insurance).
Please note: It can take 2-4 days for us to process and package your order. The estimated delivery times below refer to the additional amount of time it will take once your items have been shipped.
Due to ongoing uncertainty at Canada Post, we are unable to guarantee delivery by a specific date — if your order is time-sensitive, please reach out to info (at) criticaldistance (dot) ca to discuss options and costs for expedited shipping.

Oversized shipments such as posters or large books may incur higher shipping costs. In this case, Critical Distance will follow up to discuss your shipping preferences.
IN-PERSON PICKUP — FREE
Critical Distance is centrally located in downtown Toronto. Free on-site pick up is available within our regular business hours (Thurs-Sat, 12-6PM) and by appointment. Please note that we are sometimes closed for installation between public programs, and that it is always a good idea to confirm that the space is open before dropping by.
Customers who select in-person pickup will receive an email notification advising when the order is ready. Please have your order number and confirmation email ready upon arrival for pick up.
DELIVERY WITHIN TORONTO — $15
If the purchaser is located within Toronto, local delivery by courier is an option for a $15 flat fee. If selected, Critical Distance will follow up to arrange delivery at a mutually convenient time.
RETURNS and EXCHANGES
Please note that our online shop does not offer refunds; returns and exchanges are handled on a case-by-case basis. Books and un-opened items may be returned for store credit or exchange only. There is no time limit for returns and exchanges, as long as the item is in re-saleable condition. Our staff may refuse the return if the items appear used or damaged.
