Critical Distance is a not-for-profit gallery, publisher, and professional network devoted to advancing critical curatorial practice and inquiry in Toronto and beyond. Each year we produce exhibitions, publications, and events in collaboration with guest curators and artists at all levels of professional development.

As a not-for-profit, we rely on financial support from public and private funders including individuals who are inspired by the potential for art, curating, and exhibitions to enhance our collective quality of life. All donations go toward our programming and operations, through which we hold space for curators, artists, partners, and audiences alike to come together across cultures, generations, and geographies.

Any amount is greatly appreciated!

While we don't yet have charitable status and are thus unable to provide tax letters for donations for now, we can offer a selection of free PERKS including your choice from selected CDCC print editions, t-shirts, catalogues, and more from our rapidly expanding e-Shop. Upon receipt of your donation, we will be in touch with options for perk fulfillment. (Standard domestic shipping included; for international shipments please inquire. Note we are unable to guarantee delivery in time for Christmas; thanks for your patience!)

All donors will also be acknowledged on our website and in-gallery (unless otherwise preferred — we will confirm before publishing).
