About the Artist
Working primarily through performance, Lilibeth Cuenca Rasmussen (b. 1970, Manilla) utilizes her medium to explore issues such as historical heritage, identity, gender and socio-cultural roles. Cuenca has shown extensively, including The Danish Pavilion in the 54th Venice Biennale (IT), Tate Modern (UK), Performa 09 (USA), and Brooklyn Museum (USA).
