Since Temporary Services’ inception in 1998, they have taken an active interest in the vernacular culture found in publicly trafficked space, building a large archive of compelling phenomena that we photographed outdoors around Chicago and in other cities.
Originally booklet #68. This booklet was the first Temporary Services publication focusing on documentation of Public Phenomena. It includes 44 color photos, none of which were repeated in the later book, that go right to the edge of the page.
All of the photos in this booklet were taken in Illinois, Indiana, and Wisconsin between 1998 and 2005
